LA – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: This is a vast improvement on the previous model, I really like the screw on cap which helps prevent leaks. I also really like the way the filter screws directly onto the backwash syringe. The small nozzle was a serious design flaw in the previous model since it could snap off in the mouthpiece making it impossible to backwash the filter. Unfortunately the solution caused another problem, in that you can no longer squeeze the bottle to make it easier to backwash. The new syringes don’t form a tight enough seal, so they only fill about halfway with water when you try to backwash them. I use the plunger from my previous setup because it has a slightly larger diameter and creates a tighter seal. It’s an effective if inelegant solution. A better design would be a syringe that screws onto the mouthpiece using the same threads as the cap. Id also appreciate it if the next generation of syringes has a thumb loop instead of a pad on top of the plunger for easier one handed operation. Despite my complaints, I love this product and never go on a long hike without it. The water tastes great, I’ve drank hundreds of liters of raw water through lifestraw filter bottles and never gotten a waterborne illness. I really like the way you can give it a good squeeze and pour fresh filtered water for cooking or just helping out a fellow hiker with a limited water supply. Absolutely a great product.

Review: It was made to help people with poor access to clean drinking water, this made it into the realm of people who like being on the road and not entirely reliant on stores or places to fill water. It came in useful when I reached a water station and the water there tasted like it had a little to many particles in it, I used the the bottle and drank pure water out the other end. Beautiful, just don’t forget to flush it every time you use it, don’t be lazy, it’ll last longer, keep it as dry as you can and if you backpacking in cold, don’t let it freeze. Have fun!

Review: I agree with the other reviewers – this is what the Katahdin BeFree aspired to be. It actually clips to a carabiner, doesn’t break and the filter is very high flow. There is a taste, but all my rubbery plastic bottles have them. I often throw tea bags in to help disguise it. The bladder portion is probably a Hydrapak in disguise.

Review: I have taken this kayaking and hiking, and I have drank several gallons of water from this container. I absolutely love it. It has filtered water from the rivers of Indiana to the streams of the smoky mountains.

Mom x2 – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: Tested it out, water comes out not too difficult especially when you can squeeze it out. The plastic/silicone “container” even after washing it has a residual plasticy weird taste. I have water soaking in it to try to get it out but so far it’s still there. Like the concept but not when your water taste worst than it should.

HAN – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: It’s awkward handling the bag, it doesn’t stand upright, and when you use it you have to continue squeezing and adjusting inorder to drink water. Additionally you can’t easily access the last few ounces in of water with an out removing and reattaching the filter. It’s a bit awkward.

Review: Great for what it is for. Easy to use, quick, efficient.

Amazon Customer – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Review: I bought this bottle for travelling to avoid buying so many plastic water bottles. So far it’s worked out great! It does have some flavor from the filter the first few weeks but over time this improves. Also when filling the bottle, make sure to squeeze most air out of the bottle before sealing so that the water will flow through properly for drinking.
